New research project: Climate Intelligence

We have started a new EU funded four-year international research project named CLINT (CLimate INTelligence) in collaboration with 15 partners including academic institutions, national weather services and ECMWF.

CLINT will develop an AI framework of Machine Learning techniques and algorithms to process big climate datasets to improve the detection (spatial patterns), causation (the physical triggers), and attribution (links with climate change) of several extreme events, namely tropical cyclones, heatwaves, and extreme droughts.

More about CLINT here.
